Creativity Pills By Jessica Melling

Designer medication, you saw it here first. Reminds me of Damien Hirst's pharmacy piece, i want to see a hundred different colours all arranged in grids. They're documented outside their usual environment of a pill packet and displayed in odd numbers on a plain surface. If they were shown in a formation or inside packaging it would have detracted from the shape and colour of the pills and made the use of at the forefront.

Crack The Surface - Episode II

This episode takes a look at another community of urban explorers. They take us to the roof tops of skyscrapers and to the depths of sewers. For people with epilepsy be warned, theres a lot of fireworks in this episode.

All the footage was filmed in 6 weeks from location such as New York, Indianapolis, Chicago, Las Vegas, Minneapolis and Montreal.

Found Innovation

These are a series of found images from the "South London Innovation Centre". From the 1970s these pictures were taken to document these rather odd innovations, my favourite being the telephone with what seems to be a keypad lock. perhaps the first instance of the lock/hold button on your phone. The cumbersome design and the irrelevant use is completely absurd. Its actually ahead of its time, it was just waiting for the mobile phone to come alone and then with a slight design tweak it would have been usable.

Milk no Sugar

This set of images were taken inside a retirement home. I was drawn to the hospital like atmosphere, the minimalistic furnishing and the bleached ikea beige. I was interested in small details and diagonal lines, the low contrast and even exposure help everything become milky soft.

The image above of a light is fully contained and isolated in a sea of beige, swallowed whole it seems to have sunken down the frame. the slight curve in its stem lends its character to that of a bloomed tulip, opening for the mornings beige sunlight. If i could have captures a subtle red shadow rising from the top i think this would have had a strong effect of the sense of depth in the gradient and made the other half of the image more striking.

Sean Dunne takes us to the gathering of the Juggalos and shows us an intense subculture. We're introduced to so many contrasting characters. Some who paint juggalos as plain degenerates, and others that believe family love and acceptance is what they truly strive for. A very well shoot documentary with a non-biased view point.
