History’s most famous explosions, reproduced in cauliflower

The bombing of Nagasaki, the explosion of the Hindenburg, and the Challenger disaster have all been immortalized into smoke-filled photography. Artist Brock Davis has reproduced those iconic explosions in an unlikely medium: cauliflower. Davis originally created these images for his Make Something Cool Every Day project. I had no idea where he got the idea to replicate these disasters in vegetable form (even the Hindenburg itself is a piece of carved cauliflower stalk), but they're oddly close reproductions. These really put the "fascinating" in "morbidly fascinating." I wonder if he has other plant matter disasters waiting in the wings.
